Not at all! Skylights, arched windows, bay windows, angled ceilings—we handle all window types and unique shapes. What we do believe is important is having a good discussion about the pros and cons of the solutions available to you.
Many specialty-shaped windows are set high and out of reach, which means we also need to talk about how you’ll actually operate them on a daily basis. That’s why an in-home consultation with an expert who knows the options available—and how each one works—is really important. During that consultation, we’ll explore solutions with you, show you how they operate, and help you make the choice that’s right for your situation.
Yes. Every product we sell comes with the manufacturer’s Limited Lifetime Warranty. This protects you against manufacturer defects for the lifetime you own the window treatment. The “limited” part acknowledges that some wear and tear is the result of normal use, environmental conditions, or aging—things outside the manufacturer’s control. For example, cords and strings typically come with a 5-year warranty. If a cord breaks after that period, it would be considered normal aging rather than a defect, so it wouldn’t be covered under that specific aspect of the warranty.
On top of the manufacturer’s warranty, Best Blinds offers our own extended warranty for repairs, replacements, and satisfaction. The specifics of our warranty are detailed in your quote, and it’s just one more way we stand behind our work. If something goes wrong, we take care of it.
We work with over 15 different manufacturers to bring you the best selection and pricing. We’re very intentional about our manufacturer partnerships—we constantly review them for product quality, pricing, new product offerings, promotional opportunities, and their service after the sale. That diligence means you’re getting products from manufacturers we truly believe in, and we’re shopping your price to make sure you’re getting the best value.
Absolutely. One reason we carry so many manufacturers is to make sure we’re at the forefront of new products and design options. We attend regular webinars and meet with our manufacturer representatives for training and updates, so we stay current on what’s available and what’s trending.
During an in-home consultation, our consultant can show you working models, walk you through the newest options, and help you understand which ones will actually work for your space and your lifestyle. The key is finding something that not only looks great but functions perfectly for how you actually use your home.
We schedule the consultation based on the scope of your project. For a single room, plan on about 30 minutes. If you’re looking to do multiple rooms or your entire home, we budget up to two and a half hours. That gives us time to really explore your needs, show you options, and make sure you feel completely comfortable with your choices before we leave.
That’s actually why our consultation process exists. Not knowing what you want is the perfect reason to call us. Our no-pressure consultations focus on matching up the right functionality for how you actually use your space. We’ll ask questions about light control, privacy, durability needs, and your lifestyle—and from there, we’ll guide you toward options that make sense. Many of our customers came in without a clue about what they wanted, and our process helps them feel confident in the end result.
Most products take between 2 to 5 weeks from the time we place the order. That timeline can vary depending on the season—summer and fall tend to be busy for manufacturers, so orders can gravitate toward the longer end of that range. Winter and early spring typically move a bit faster.
What matters is that we track your order daily and call to schedule installation as soon as we have a delivery date we can trust. You won’t be left wondering when your window treatments are arriving—we keep you informed every step of the way.
That’s an important question, but it’s not one we can give a simple answer to without understanding your specific situation. Pricing varies significantly based on the size of your windows, the type of product you choose (blinds, shades, shutters), the material or fabric, and whether you want motorization or other special features. That’s why we do the consultation and measuring first—it allows us to give you an accurate, detailed quote that breaks down exactly what you’re paying for. In most cases, you’ll have your quote the next business day after your consultation.
Motorization can be powered by batteries or hardwired electricity. If you choose battery-powered, you’ll need to recharge the batteries once every 6 to 12 months, depending on how often you use them. An indicator light on the shade blinks when the battery is getting low, so you’ll know when it’s time. Try not to let the battery drain completely. Depending on how long it sits dead, the shade can lose its connection to the remote and need to be reprogrammed. Many homeowners add “recharge the blinds” to their spring and fall home maintenance list so it never gets that far.
If you choose hardwired motors, there’s no battery maintenance at all. The system is permanently powered, and you never have to think about it. The decision between battery and hardwired comes down to your windows and your preference—we’ll discuss both options during your consultation.
Absolutely. Up to 75% of heat and cold transfer in your home comes through your windows, so window treatments play a real role in energy management. The best product in the industry for energy efficiency is cellular shades, also called honeycomb shades. They have an R-value rating that ranges from about 2.3 to 5.0, depending on the material you choose—single cell versus double cell, light filtering versus room darkening, and other factors. Cellular shades can help reduce heating costs by up to 20%.
If you really want to maximize energy savings, adding motorization takes it a step further. You can program “scenes” to automatically raise and lower your shades at specific times of day. For example, if you have a south-facing window, you might program shades to lower during the hot midday sun in summer, then raise them during winter daylight hours to let the sun’s warmth in naturally. That kind of automation can significantly improve your home’s energy performance throughout the year.
Yes, definitely. When we’re determining what works best for your home, pets and kids are always part of the conversation. Some pets have a special window that they use to do their job protecting your home from dastardly squirrels, the mailman, or general neighborhood watch duties. The secret is to modify the functionality based on your specific pet’s personality and habits.
Cellular and roller shades tend to be very durable for active homes. Motorized options keep shades up and away from pet reach. And shutters are your most durable option—they can handle rough play and pet wear and tear better than any fabric treatment.
If your pet or child does damage a window covering you’ve purchased from us, we’ll replace it one time at no cost to you. Any replacements after that are offered at a significant discount. Our goal is to make sure your family—furry members included—is happy with your window treatments for years to come.
Maintenance varies depending on the material you choose. Some treatments just need occasional dusting, while others benefit from more frequent care. At installation, we provide detailed care instructions specific to what you’ve chosen, so you know exactly how to keep your window treatments looking great. We’re also always available if you have questions down the road.
Yes. We accept all major credit cards. We also offer Affirm, a simple buy-now-pay-later solution that lets you spread your payment over time with transparent terms. If you have questions about financing options or want to discuss what might work best for your situation, just ask during your consultation.
Our entire process is designed to make sure you’re happy with the end result. We take time to understand your needs, show you options in your actual lighting, measure carefully, and discuss everything before you ever commit. But if for some reason you’re not satisfied, we stand behind our work.
We offer a 90-day satisfaction guarantee. Depending on the circumstances, we’ll replace your window treatments at no charge or offer a significant discount. Our goal is your long-term satisfaction—not just the sale, but a happy customer who’s confident in their choice.
Big box stores and online retailers can help you figure out what type of product exists. But here’s the real question: how do you know that product is the right choice for you? How do you know if the manufacturer stands behind their quality? And if you have problems in the future, who do you call?
We bring our mobile showroom to you so you can see and touch products in your actual lighting. We measure professionally and precisely—not leaving it to you or guessing. Our own employees do the installation, so you know the quality is controlled. We provide free interior design support and guidance throughout the process. And we’re local, family-owned since 2004—if something goes wrong, you call a trusted business who’s been in the community for more than 20 years and actually cares about your satisfaction.
That’s the difference between working with us and shopping online or at a big box store. You get an expert partner invested in your long-term happiness, not just a transaction.
